Built for saunas, not appointments
Most booking systems were built for hairdressers or yoga teachers, with capacity bolted on. Session is built around the session itself.
Shared or private
Many guests share a session, up to the number your sauna holds, or one customer books the whole session and nobody else can join.
Group prices
Sell a block of spaces at one price, like a group of 4, while the rest of the session stays open.
Waivers and check-in
Each guest signs their own waiver, and staff tick them in at the door.
Designed by someone who understands how saunas actually run day‑to‑day.

Keep them coming back for more
Memberships, bundles and gift vouchers bring money in before the visit. Loyalty rewards and win-back offers bring people back.

Membership, bundles, gift vouchers
Turn one-off visitors into members, and keep money in the business with bundles, gift vouchers and discount codes.

Email marketing and loyalty
Reach your whole list with email marketing, then bring people back with loyalty and win-back automated emails.
“I like that this booking system is set up specifically for sauna businesses. This has allowed me to create a specific membership model that I couldn’t create on other booking systems.”

Manage your guests, not the admin
Watch sessions fill up and check people in. Let customers book, move and cancel themselves, so the admin stops landing on you.
Check-in at the door
Tick guests in from a phone or tablet at the front desk.
Customer self-service
Customers move or cancel their own bookings, to your rules.
Refunds and credit
Refund in full, in part, or as credit for next time.
Walk-ins
Add a booking for someone at the door in a few taps.
Session makes scheduling sessions the work of half an hour, when it used to take half a day.

Many sites, one team
Run every location from one account, each with its own booking page. Then staff the week across all of them with shifts.

HotBox, Stonesthrow and Salted Barrel all run several sites on Session. See how they run

Built by a sauna operator
Hi, I’m Wil. I’m a startup founder and product designer, setting up Cardiff Community Sawna - a not-for-profit community sauna.
Every feature in Session exists because we needed it ourselves, or because an operator asked for it. We’re doing this to make good, fairly priced software for the sauna community.
Your data is exportable in one click, the data processing agreement is published, and there’s a written plan for continuity.
Get in touch, I love a chat!

What is Session?
Session is a booking platform built for saunas and other shared sessions, not one-to-one appointments. Where appointment tools like Acuity book one person into one slot, Session is built around many people sharing a session. Memberships, bundles, gift vouchers, waivers and check-in are all built in.
How much does Session cost?
Session is free to set up, with no card needed to start. There’s a 0.5% platform fee on paid bookings, capped each month in your own currency (US$150, £100, €90, A$150, C$140, NZ$170). Stripe’s card fees are separate and paid from your own Stripe account. Non-profit and community saunas get partnership pricing.
Do customers need an account to book?
No. Customers book as a guest with just an email address, and their confirmation email has a private link to move or cancel the booking. An account is optional and makes repeat bookings quicker.
Can I take memberships and recurring payments?
Yes. Memberships bill automatically through Stripe, with member prices at checkout and, if you want, a number of sessions included each period. You can also sell bundles and gift vouchers, and every discount applies automatically when a customer books.
Does Session work worldwide?
Yes. Venues in the UK, Ireland, the US, Australia and New Zealand use Session. Prices show in your own currency, sessions show in your venue’s timezone, and payouts go to your own Stripe account in your country.
Can I move my existing bookings and customers across?
Yes. Session imports bookings, customers, gift vouchers and bundles from Acuity, Periode and CSV exports, and mailing lists from tools like Mailchimp with marketing consent kept. The founder helps with the move directly.
How do customers pay, and where does the money go?
Customers pay by card through Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account - Session never holds your funds - and you stay in control of refunds and payouts. Bank debits and local payment methods are available in some regions.
Can I install Session as an app?
Yes. Your booking page and the admin dashboard can both be added to a phone’s home screen as an app, with no app store needed. Customers get a booking app for your venue, and staff get a separate one for checking guests in.
Can I embed Session on my own website?
Yes. Paste one snippet into Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, Framer or Shopify and your live schedule appears in your own colours, keeping itself up to date. Picking a session opens your booking page to book and pay.
What happens to my data if Session goes away?
You can take it with you at any time. One button downloads every booking, customer, waiver and voucher you hold - the actual records, not a summary. Session also publishes its data processing agreement and a written continuity plan.
What’s the best sauna booking software?
It depends on your venue. For community and independent saunas, Session is purpose-built by a sauna operator: shared-capacity sessions, per-guest waivers, check-in at the door and memberships, free to set up with a 0.5% fee capped monthly and nothing added to your customers’ checkout. Other options include Acuity (US) and Periode (Nordic).
