# Your booking links

> Get a booking page at your own address, then share the right link for a venue, a location, or a single session.

Who can do this: admins only.

Every account gets a booking page at its own address, plus links for each [location](/docs/locations) and session built from it.

## Your booking page address

Your booking page lives at `bookasession.org/your-name`, where `your-name` is your slug. Set it in [Booking page](/go/admin/appearance), under **Links** → **Booking URL**. Session checks the name is available as you type. Pick something short - your venue name with no spaces is usually best - because it appears on every link and on your [booking poster](/docs/share-your-booking-page#print-a-qr-poster).

The old address doesn't redirect. Posters, social bios, embeds, bookmarks and session links using the old name stop working. Settle on a slug before you print or publish, and re-share everything if you change it.

## Location links

With more than one venue, each [location](/docs/locations) gets a link like `bookasession.org/your-name/l/location-name` that opens your booking page filtered to that location. Copy it from the location's URL field in [Settings → Company](/go/admin/settings/company). The slug comes from the location's name when you create it, and renaming the location doesn't change it, so shared links keep working.

## Session links

Each session has a link, shown as **Session URL** in the session editor, that opens its page so the customer can pick a time. It looks like `bookasession.org/your-name/your-session`; on multi-location accounts it includes `/l/` and the location. Set a readable Session URL like `.../sauna-evening` rather than keeping the generated id.

## Share a session from the admin

A **Share** button copies the right link from the [Sessions](/go/admin/sessions) list, the session calendar pop-up, the session editor header, and the [Add booking](/go/admin/home) sheet (useful when you want the customer to [book and pay themselves](/docs/add-a-booking)). Sharing a specific slot links straight to that date and time.

To pre-apply a [discount code](/docs/vouchers) to a shared link, add `?gv=CODE` to the end of it, or `&gv=CODE` if the link already has a `?` in it (a link to a specific time does). The code is filled in at checkout.

## How your link looks when you share it

Pasted into Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp or a message, your link unfurls into a preview card with your photo, logo, colour, venue name and booking address. A session link names the session, and a link to a time shows that slot in your venue's timezone. It's built from [Booking page](/go/admin/appearance), so there's nothing to set up.

## Share with a caption

**Share with a caption**, next to the copy-link field, writes a caption with the session or venue name, the link and a tag for Session. On a phone it opens your share sheet; on a computer it copies the caption. Edit it or delete the tag as you like.

## Common questions

1. **Can I use my own domain instead of bookasession.org?** No, your booking page lives at `bookasession.org/your-name`. To bring your sessions onto your own website, [embed your schedule](/docs/embed), or add a plain link or button to your booking page.

2. **How do I put a link on a wall or table?** Use the [booking poster](/docs/share-your-booking-page#print-a-qr-poster), a printable QR code that opens your booking page when scanned.

3. **Can a customer who lost their confirmation find their booking from these links?** Yes. Point them to your booking page, where they can use **Find booking** - see [guest self-service](/docs/manage-bookings-customers#find-a-booking).

4. **My preview card still shows my old logo.** Facebook, WhatsApp and LinkedIn cache preview cards and can take a few days to refresh.

5. **Can I change what the preview card says?** Not directly. Change your logo, colour, venue name or session photo in [Booking page](/go/admin/appearance) and the card follows.
