# Multiple locations

> Run several venues or sites from one account - each with its own address, sessions, booking link and location filter on your booking page.

Who can do this: admins only.

If you operate from more than one address, set each up as a location and assign sessions to it; customers can then filter your calendar by location. For several saunas at one address, use a separate session per room instead.

## Managing locations

Add and edit locations under [Settings → Company](/go/admin/settings/company). Once you have a second location:

- A **Location** field appears under the session name in every session's details, and each schedule and one-off date gets its own Location dropdown, set to **Same as session** by default.
- Your **Primary location** is the fallback for anything without a location of its own, and always shows first in the filter.
- A location filter is added to your booking page and admin calendars.

To run **one session at several venues**, change the Location on the schedules that run elsewhere; customers see the location on each time. To put the location in the name instead, make a separate session per venue.

### Editing a location

With two or more locations, each one is a row showing its colour, name, address and booking link. Click a row to edit it in a panel and press **Save location** - it saves straight away. Adding your second location also asks you to name your first one, since every location needs a name once you have more than one.

- **Reorder** by dragging a row by its handle, or use **Move up** and **Move down** in its **⋯** menu. The order sets how locations appear in the calendar filter.
- **Make primary**, **Copy booking link** and **Archive location** are in the **⋯** menu too, and reordering and making primary save straight away.

### Archiving a location

Archive a closed site from its **⋯** menu. It vanishes from your booking page, FAQs and pickers; past bookings and [Reports](/docs/reports) keep it. The dialog lists anything blocking it. **Restore** it from **Archived** below your list.

### Name, address and filter settings

Name each location the way your customers do - "Southwick (Lighthouse Beach)" rather than "Southwick". Renaming never changes its booking link. As you type an address, pick a suggestion: that sets its map position, which search engines use and which puts a map of the location on your customers' booking screen. An address typed without picking a suggestion has no map, so customers see the session's image there instead.

Each location also has:

- **Colour** - its dot in the filter and on your calendar. Leave it on **Auto** or pick one.
- **Hide from calendar filter** - hides it from the customer filter only. Its sessions stay on your booking page under All.
- **Header image** - its own banner, shown on its page and when a customer picks it in the filter. Leave it empty to use your main [header banner](/docs/branding).
- **Booking link** - a copyable link to its page.

## Locations on your admin calendar

On your [Sessions calendar](/go/admin/sessions) and [Bookings](/go/admin/home), filter to one location or see all. On the Sessions calendar, **Week** labels each tile with its location, and **Day** shows one column per location on desktop.

## Sharing location calendars

Each location has its own public page, for example `/cardiff-sauna/l/pontcanna`, showing only that site's schedule, [featured sessions](/docs/session-visibility#featured-sessions) and header image. Use it on flyers, QR codes and social profiles.

## Ask customers to choose a location first

If customers travel to each site separately, ask them to pick one when they open your booking page.

<Steps>
<Step>Go to [Booking page](/go/admin/appearance) and open **Layout**.</Step>
<Step>Turn on **Choose a location first** (shown once you have two or more locations) and save.</Step>
</Steps>

Your main booking link then opens with one card per site; **See all locations** shows the full schedule. It asks once per visit, marking the last site picked on that device **Last visited**. Links to a location's page skip the choice. Only sites with upcoming sessions that aren't hidden from the filter get a card, and with fewer than two the choice isn't shown - a note under the switch then names each site that's missing and why.

## Common questions

1. **Why isn't one of my locations showing in the customer's filter?** A location only appears while it has upcoming sessions. Check too that **Hide from calendar filter** is off.

2. **Can I limit a staff member to one venue?** Yes. Assign their locations on the invite or their member-edit sheet under [Settings → Team](/go/admin/settings/team), and their bookings, [check-in list](/docs/check-in) and booking alerts narrow to those sites. Admins, and staff with no locations set, see everything.

3. **Can I see revenue for one venue on its own?** Yes. The location filter in the [Reports](/docs/reports) header scopes every figure and both [CSV exports](/docs/csv-exports). Year-end totals stay organisation-wide, because vouchers aren't tied to one site.

4. **Do customers get the right address?** Yes. Each confirmation email links to its location's address for directions, and the location's name is on the subject line and Stripe payment page.

5. **Customers keep turning up at the wrong site - what can I do?** Put the meeting point in **Visit instructions** (under Messages in the session editor), use each site's own link on its poster, and consider asking customers to choose a location first.

6. **I run pop-ups in different places - how do I handle that?** Add each site as a location and set it on that event's one-off date or schedule. Don't change the session's own Location for a pop-up - that moves every date still on **Same as session**, including booked ones.
