# Bundles and allowances on longer or shorter bookings > Make a 30 min booking use half a session from a bundle or membership allowance, and a 2 hour booking use two. Set per length, in halves. Who can do this: admins only. By default every booking uses one session from a [bundle](/docs/bundles) or a [membership's free sessions](/docs/membership#session-allowance), however long it is. If your session has [lengths](/docs/session-lengths), you can make a short booking use less and a long one use more - half a session for 30 minutes, two for 2 hours. ## Choose how much each length uses Open a session on the [Sessions page](/go/admin/sessions) and go to **Prices & offers**. At the bottom, under **Who can book this without paying full price**, click **More options**. Under **How much a booking uses**, pick a choice beside each length, such as **30 min uses: Half a session**. Choices run from half a session to 4 sessions, in halves. Save the session. A session without lengths has one choice, **Each booking uses**. The choice only shows on a session where a bundle, a gift voucher or a membership's free sessions can be used. If you don't see it, check **Who can book this without paying full price** in the same panel. **Let the prices suggest it.** When a length's price is a simple share of another's, a hint offers the match - "£10 is half of £20 - use half a session?". Select it to apply. Bookings already made keep what they used. A change applies to new bookings only. ## How each kind of credit is used - **Memberships.** A booking is covered by free sessions in full or not at all. If a booking uses 2 and the member has 1 left, they pay the member rate, or the standard price if the tier has none, and keep their 1 for another booking. - **Bundles.** The balance covers as many whole spaces as it pays for, and the rest pay. With 3 sessions left on a length that uses 2, a booking for 2 has one space covered and one to pay. - **Gift vouchers and loyalty rewards** always cover one space, whatever the length. If a length uses more than a tier's whole allowance - 2 sessions on a tier with 1 a month - those members can never use free sessions on it. The editor warns you when that happens. ## What customers see The session page says how much a booking uses, such as "uses half a session", and balances show in halves, such as "2.5 sessions left". You can set a customer's balance in halves too: under **Issued bundle credits**, select **Edit** on their credit and open **Balance**. ## Common questions 1. **Can one length use half and another use 2?** Yes. Each length has its own choice, so a 30, 60 and 120 minute session can use half, 1 and 2. 2. **Does this change a bundle's price?** No. A bundle still sells the same number of sessions. Only how quickly bookings draw it down changes. 3. **A member has 0.5 left and wants a 60 minute booking.** It uses 1, so free sessions don't cover it. They pay the member rate, and the 0.5 stays for a 30 minute booking. 4. **Do reports count spaces or sessions used?** Attendance and revenue count spaces. Redemption rates count sessions used, so a half shows as 0.5. [CSV exports](/docs/csv-exports) have both. 5. **Can I set this on one date only?** No. It's set per length for the whole session, like the prices.
