The Sound Sauna Fremantle Inc. is a community-led, arts-based, place-specific wellness initiative born directly out of the Fremantle Biennale and the celebrated Sanctuary 2025 contemporary art program. Conceived by acclaimed Fremantle artist Tom Mùller and made possible by an initial community grant through Lotterywest, our organization exists as a dedicated not-for-profit community asset established by local residents to safeguard and sustain a high-quality, architectural artwork on the Manjaree Bathers Beach public realm.

Our vision is to be not merely a sauna beside the ocean. It is a place to listen. Listen to the sea, to local artists, to stories of places, and to one another.
