Wix Bookings adds appointments, classes and courses to a Wix website. Session is a booking system built for saunas, where communal sessions and private hire share the same room. To take paid bookings on Wix you need a Core plan or above, plus card fees. Session has no plan to buy: 0.5% per paid booking, capped at £100 a month, plus Stripe’s card fees paid from your own account. If your website stays on Wix, it no longer needs to take bookings or payments.

If you’d rather run your site and bookings in one place, with one login, Wix keeps it together.
Mostly one-to-one appointments
Treatments or lessons booked by appointment, with add-ons, are what Wix Bookings handles best. Session sells spaces in sessions.
A simple class schedule
If you never mix communal and private bookings in the same slot, a Wix class with a maximum number of participants may be enough.
If your sauna mixes communal sessions with private hire, needs a waiver from every guest, or you want refunds and waiting lists handled for you, that’s what Session is built for.

Can I use Wix Bookings for a sauna?
Yes. Wix Bookings runs classes with a maximum number of participants, so a simple communal schedule works. What its site doesn’t describe is communal sessions and private hire sharing one room’s spaces: appointments can’t be booked in a slot with a class, and resources don’t limit class bookings. Session is built around that, with per-guest waivers and check-in.
Do I have to leave my Wix website to use Session?
No. Keep your Wix site and point its Book buttons at your Session booking page. Your site no longer needs to take bookings or payments itself.
How much does Wix Bookings cost compared to Session?

How do refunds and waiting lists work on Wix?
On Wix, a cancelled booking isn’t refunded automatically: you refund in your payment provider. Clients join a Wix waiting list through the Wix mobile app, not your website. On Session you refund in full or in part from the booking, and anyone can join a waiting list from your booking page.
Can I move my Wix bookings and customers to Session?
Yes. Export your booking list and contacts from Wix as CSV files and import them into Session. Members re-subscribe on Session, because saved card details can’t move between platforms, and package balances and gift cards come across as bundle credit and gift vouchers.
