Yes. Session has partnered with the Community Sauna Network on a special deal for non-profit and community-run saunas, so the cost is lower than the standard 0.5% fee. Session was built by a sauna operator, and supporting community saunas is core to the model. Get in touch to arrange it before you launch.

Do customers need an account to book?

Accepted Answer

No. Customers can book as a guest using only an email address. Their confirmation email includes a private manage link, so they can reschedule or cancel without ever signing in or creating a password. Creating an account is optional and just makes managing repeat bookings easier.

Can I put my sessions on my own website?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Session gives you a snippet you paste once into your own site - Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, Framer and Shopify all take it - and your live timetable appears there in your own colours, staying current on its own. Picking a session opens your booking page in a new tab, so member prices, vouchers and card payment all work as normal. A second snippet adds an email sign-up block.

Can I install Session as an app?

Yes. Both the customer booking page and the admin dashboard can be added to a phone's home screen as an installable app (a PWA), with no app store needed. Customers get a fast, branded booking app for your venue; staff get a separate admin app for managing bookings and checking guests in.

Can I take memberships and recurring payments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Session supports recurring memberships billed automatically through Stripe, with member pricing applied at checkout and optional included sessions each period. You can also sell multi-session bundles and gift vouchers. Discounts and member rates are calculated automatically when a customer books, so there is nothing to apply manually.

Do I have to write my own booking terms and FAQs?

Accepted Answer

No. Every booking page comes with a FAQs page generated from your own settings - how far ahead people can book, when bookings close, your cancellation and reschedule rules, and whether an account is needed. You never write it and it cannot go out of date, because it is built from the rules Session is already enforcing. Search engines index it too.

How do customers pay, and where does the money go?

Customers pay by card at checkout via Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay where enabled. Money goes straight into your own connected Stripe account; Session never holds your funds. You stay in control of refunds and payouts. Bank-debit and local payment methods are available depending on your region.

Can I move my existing bookings and customers across?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Session imports bookings, customers, gift vouchers and bundles from Acuity, Periode, Mindbody and CSV exports, and contacts from tools like Mailchimp with their marketing consent preserved. Existing customers keep their history and can claim their account when they next sign in. The founder helps with migration directly.

What happens to my data if Session goes away?

You can take it with you at any time. One button in your settings downloads every booking, customer, waiver and voucher you hold - the actual records, not a summary. Session publishes a data processing agreement you can read before signing up, and a written continuity plan. Your money never passes through Session: card payments go straight into your own Stripe account.

Yes. Session supports multiple currencies and timezones, and is used by venues in the UK, Ireland, Australia and the United States. Prices show in your local currency, sessions display in your venue's timezone, and payouts go directly to your own Stripe account in your country. Tax labels and rates adapt to your region.
