TIMED AND OPEN-LENGTH VISITS

One circuit, many guests, one number of spaces

A bathhouse doesnโ€™t sell appointments. It sells entry to a shared circuit: many guests in at once, up to the number the building holds. Session counts every booking against that one number and stops selling the moment itโ€™s full, so the hot pool on a Saturday is never sold twice over.

Private ยท 1 booking

Timed sessions on a shared circuit

Set the spaces once and guests book a place in the same session until itโ€™s full. Overbooking is blocked at checkout, and a waiting list can tell people when a space opens.

Open-length stays on one pool of spaces

Offer up to four lengths, such as 2 or 3 hours, with a start as often as you like. Every start draws on the same spaces, so a guest who arrived at 09:00 for three hours still counts at 11:00. Closes at stops a stay running past closing time.

How flexible start times work โ†’

Hide the length if you sell entry, not a slot

If youโ€™d rather not show a finish time, turn the length off on your booking page and customers see only the start time, on the page, in their booking and in their emails.

Private hire of the whole bathhouse

Add a private hire price and one group books out the whole session, so nobody else can join it.

SAUNA, STEAM, HOT POOL AND COLD PLUNGE

Sell the circuit, or each part of it

Sell the whole circuit as one session with one capacity, or run the cold plunge, the sauna or a hot pool as its own session with its own spaces and prices beside it.

Sauna and cold plunge sessions โ†’

One circuit, one capacity

Sauna, steam room, hot pool, cold plunge and rest areas sold as a single visit, counted against the spaces the building holds.

Or each part on its own

A cold plunge or hot pool session with its own spaces and prices, on the same schedule as the circuit.

Rituals and aufguss

Guided rituals and aufguss can run as their own sessions, so guests book them alongside a visit.

Add-ons with each booking

Sell towels, robes and drinks with the booking, so theyโ€™re paid for before guests arrive.

Memberships, bundles and gift vouchers

Bring regulars back and sell ahead, all from your own booking page.

Memberships

Monthly memberships with a set number of included visits or a member rate, plus early access to book before everyone else. You choose which sessions each tier covers, and which lengths.

Bundles

Prepaid visits, like 10 for the price of 8, with the expiry and sessions you choose. A credit comes off each time the holder books.

Gift vouchers

Sell gift vouchers from your booking page, for an amount or for a visit, so a regular can bring someone whoโ€™s never been.

WAIVERS AND CHECK-IN

Waivers signed before guests arrive

Per-guest waivers

Each guest signs their own waiver on their own phone, from a link or QR code the booker shares, so a group of six doesnโ€™t queue at the desk. Returning guests donโ€™t sign again unless you change the terms.

Check-in at the desk

Staff open the dayโ€™s session, tap each guest in as they arrive and check that waivers are signed. Install it on a phone or tablet as an app for the front desk.

MORE THAN ONE SITE

Every site from one account

Frequently asked questions

Does Session work for a bathhouse?

Yes, if guests book a place on a shared circuit. Sell sauna, steam room, hot pool and cold plunge as one session with a set number of spaces, or each as its own session, with memberships, bundles, gift vouchers, per-guest waivers and check-in. Session is already used by saunas in the UK, the US, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Can guests choose how long they stay?

Yes. Give a session up to four lengths, such as 2 or 3 hours, with a start as often as you like. Every start shares the same spaces, so a guest who stays longer still counts against your capacity and you never sell more than the building holds. If you sell entry without a set finish, you can hide the length from customers.

Can I run a thermal circuit and separate sessions together?

Yes. Sell the whole circuit as one session with one capacity, or run the cold plunge, sauna or hot pool as its own session with its own spaces and prices alongside it. Guided rituals and aufguss can run as their own sessions on the same schedule.

How much does Session cost?

Itโ€™s free to set up, with no subscription. Session charges 0.5% per paid booking, capped monthly in your own currency (US$150, ยฃ100 or A$150), and free bookings carry no fee. Larger operators, with more than ยฃ30k a month in bookings or three or more sites, agree a rate with us directly. Stripeโ€™s card fees are separate and are paid from your own Stripe account.

Can guests sign waivers before they arrive?

Yes. Each guest signs their own waiver on their own phone, from a link or QR code the booker shares, so groups donโ€™t queue at the desk. Staff can see who has signed when they check guests in.

Does Session track who is in the building?

Not yet. Session counts every booking against your spaces for its full length, so you canโ€™t oversell, and staff check guests in on arrival. Checking guests out, a live count of whoโ€™s in, and spaces held back for walk-ins are on the way for large open-length venues.

Does Session handle massage and other treatments?

Not yet. Session is built for visits that many guests book at once. One-to-one treatments such as massage are on the way; until then, a bathhouse that sells treatments will want an appointment tool for those. Session also doesnโ€™t connect to card readers, wristbands or lockers today.
