Customise your booking page

Add your logo, brand colour, header image and social links so your booking page looks like your venue, not a generic form.

4 min read

Your booking page is the first thing most customers see, so it should feel like your venue. Session lets you add a logo, set a brand colour, upload a header image, choose a default image for new sessions, and link out to your website and socials - all from one place.

Everything lives on the Settings → Design page. Changes apply to your public booking page, the installable home-screen app, and the printable booking poster, so your brand stays consistent wherever customers find you.

Add your logo and icon

Your logo appears in the header of your booking page. The icon is the small image shown in the browser tab.

  1. 1
Open Settings → Design and find the Branding section.
  2. 2
Under Logo, upload an image and position it inside the circle. The logo is shown in your booking page header.
  3. 3
Under Icon, upload a small square image for the browser tab. A 32x32px or 48x48px image works well.
  4. 4
Select Save Changes in the page header.
Tip

A simple, high-contrast logo reads best at small sizes. If your logo has a transparent background, you can set a background colour while positioning it so it sits cleanly inside the circle.

Set your brand colour

The brand colour is used for buttons, links and accents across your booking page, so a customer's eye is drawn to the right places. The brand text colour is the colour of text that sits on top of those brand-coloured elements - for example, the words on a "Book now" button.

  1. 1
In the Branding section, set the Brand colour with the colour picker or by typing a hex value like #6c47ff.
  2. 2
Set the Brand text colour - usually white (#ffffff) for a dark brand colour, or a dark colour for a light one.
  3. 3
Check the live Preview button next to the pickers to confirm the text stays readable.
  4. 4
    Select Save Changes.
Note

Pick a brand text colour that contrasts strongly with your brand colour so buttons and labels stay easy to read. The Preview button shows exactly how the combination will look.

Upload a header image

The header image is the banner across the top of your booking page. Use a photo of your space, your team, or your sessions to set the tone before a customer scrolls.

  1. 1
In the Branding section, find Header image and upload any image.
  2. 2
Drag to position the image vertically so the most important part sits in the banner.
  3. 3
    Select Save Changes.

Choose a default session image

The default session image is used automatically when you create a new session that doesn't have its own image. It keeps your Sessions list looking complete even before you add individual photos. A 4:3 image up to 2MB works best.

Note

Saving a default session image fills in any existing sessions that have no image of their own. Sessions that already have a custom image are never overwritten, so your bespoke photos stay put.

Links sit in the Links section at the top of the Design page. They give customers a way back to your wider web presence from your booking page.

  • Homepage - if you add your main website URL, a Home link appears on your booking page header.
  • Social links - add your Instagram and Facebook URLs and they show as icons in the booking page header.
  • Short name - an optional short label (up to 12 characters) shown when someone adds your page to their home screen as an app.
Tip

You don't need https:// - Session adds it for you when you leave the field. If a link looks wrong, the field highlights it so you can fix it before saving.

Your booking page address

The Booking URL in the Links section is the web address customers use to reach your page, in the form bookasession.org/your-name. You can copy it straight from the field to share it.

You can change the path, but doing so changes your live link, so any posters, emails or social bios pointing at the old address will stop working. For more on sharing your page - including QR codes - see the booking poster.

Warning

Changing your booking URL breaks existing links to your page. Only change it if you're sure, and update anywhere you've shared the old address.

Common questions

  1. Where do I customise my booking page? Everything is on Settings → Design, split into a Links section (website, socials, booking URL) and a Branding section (logo, icon, header image, default session image, brand colours).

  2. Do I have to set every option? No. Logo, header image, social links and short name are all optional. The page works with just a name, but a logo, brand colour and header image make it feel like your venue.

  3. Why don't my changes show up? Make sure you selected Save Changes in the page header. If your page is installed as an app, branding and name changes can take up to a day to reach already-installed devices.

  4. Will the default session image replace my existing session photos? No. It only fills sessions that have no image yet. Any session with its own image keeps it.

  5. Will my branding show on the booking poster too? Yes. The booking poster pulls your logo, brand colour and header image automatically, so it matches your booking page.
