Share your booking page

Print a QR code poster for walk-ins, post your schedule image to Instagram, and install your booking page as an app (add to home screen).

Who can do this: admins only 4 min read

Share your booking page with a printed QR poster, a schedule image for social media, or a home-screen app.

The poster is a printable A4 sheet with a QR code that opens your booking page, for walk-ins to scan.

The Poster tab on the Booking page editor, showing a printable A4 poster with a QR code in the venue's branding
Your poster, ready to print
  1. 1
Open Booking page on a computer and choose the Poster tab above the preview.
  2. 2
Optionally add a title and subtitle. They aren't saved, so set them just before printing.
  3. 3
Print from your browser or save a PDF. Set margins to "None", and turn on "Background graphics" if your brand colours are missing.

The poster uses your logo, page background and header banner (Show header image appears only when the banner is a photo). On the Dark theme it prints dark. For your own flyer or social post, press Download QR code to get just the code.

Share your week as an image

Session draws your live schedule as a branded image for Instagram or Facebook.

The Share your schedule panel on the Sessions page, showing a week of sessions as a branded card above its download controls
Your week, ready to post
  1. 1
Open Sessions and press Share, above your schedule.
  2. 2
Under Range, pick Week or Day. A week runs seven days from Start, which can be up to eight weeks ahead.
  3. 3
On a phone, press Share to open your share sheet with the image ready; the caption is copied to your clipboard. On a computer, press Download for a PNG.
  4. 4
Instagram doesn't take the caption from the share sheet, so paste it in.

What the card shows

  • Sessions grouped into Morning, Afternoon and Evening, in your venue's timezone and clock. A band empty all week is left off.
  • Full sessions struck through, and closed days shown as dashes. No count of spaces left.
  • No sessions that are unlisted, archived, hidden, cancelled, or past their booking window.

The week card has no session names. The Day card shows each session's start time, name, length, and Full or Limited (most spaces gone). Names show when the day has more than one kind of session; Show session names overrides that.

Adjust the look

  • Format - Post (4:5) or Story.
  • Location - with more than one site, pick one and choose whether to Show the location name.
  • Show your company name and Include your logo. A transparent logo gets a circle behind it, coloured by Background under Logo on Booking page.
  • Background - your brand colour by default, or Dark. Over your own photo, use Transparent, dark text on a bright photo or Tinted, light text on most others.

Install as an app

Your booking page can be added to a phone's home screen. There are two apps: the customer booking page, and an admin app for you and your staff. The name under the icon is your Short name (up to 12 characters) from Links on Booking page, or your venue name.

Customer app

On iPhone or iPad, open your booking page in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and tap Add. On Android (Chrome), tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app.

Admin app

On a phone or tablet, open the Session menu (top-left) and tap Install the app at the bottom (on a landscape tablet, it's the phone icon in the strip down the left). Android installs it straight away; iPhone shows the two taps to finish in Safari.

You can also follow the customer steps from an admin page while signed in, such as Bookings. The admin app has its own badged icon, opens to Bookings, and rotates with your tablet for a front desk; the customer app stays portrait.

Common questions

  1. Why is a day empty on my schedule card? The session is most likely unlisted, hidden or past its booking window. If the whole card is empty, move Start to the week your sessions are in.

  2. Instagram isn't in my phone's share sheet. Press Share on the card itself, not a link. If Instagram still doesn't appear, scroll the apps to the end and press More to switch it on.

  3. The image didn't change after I edited a setting. Wait a second for it to rebuild before sharing.

  4. An installed app is stuck loading or shows an old version. Open bookasession.org/sw-reset in a browser to clear the saved app data.
